Radio broadcasting was an interest to DJ Wags
as far back as the days of Nintendo (yes, the original Nintendo!) when he
and his cousin provided color and play-by-play commentary for games like RBI
Baseball and Bases Loaded. That voice, however, wasn't to be heard
until high school when DJ Wags hit the airwaves on WLTL, the radio station
of Lyons Township. It was there DJ Wags obtained his FCC license and
announced baseball games and hosted a show called "The Lions Roar".
His voice could also be heard providing the PA announcements at the north
campus. |
During that time, DJ Wags also hit the streets
with the radio station providing music for community events and local school
dances. It was then, he found his calling. After enrolling in
Columbia College's radio program, DJ Wags started High Impact DJs in 1997
providing top 40 music programming to schools and youth events. Since
that point, he served as vice president of the Chicago Chapter of the
American Disc Jockey Association, spoke an an international DJ expo, and
published several articles related to the industry.
The mobile DJ revolution continues... |
